Jersey Historical Walks

Day 1– Arrive and book into Hotel—Free afternoon—Group meet at 5.00 in bar
area of Hotel Lounge bar.
Start of Walk
Day 2—Grosnez - Greve de Lecq to Devil’s Hole.
Travel to the northwest corner of the island and enjoy the views of the
neighbouring islands of Guernsey and Sark. Walk past the romantic 14th
century ruins of Grosnez castle and ‘Le Pinnacle's an intriguing rock
formation and carry on along the coastal path passing Plemont caves and the
Pater Noster rocks, into Greve de Lecq, visit the watermill and time
permitting continue to Devil’s hole and Jersey’s Premier vineyard.
Day 3– St Catherines—Archirondel -Gorey -
Follow the small coastal path into the woods near St Catherine’s and follow
a path to view the ancient dolmens and onward to visit and view Jersey most
spectacular castle Mont Orgueil (Mount Pride)
Day 4– St Aubin—Noirmont—Portelet—St Brelade—Corbiere
Visit Jersey’s original harbour and old town, then up to Noirmont to view
German Fortifications and lunch at the delightful Portlet Bay. At St
Brelades visit a picturesque Norman Church and onward to Corbiere to
Jersey’s lighthouse and spectacular views of St Ouen’s Bay.
Day 5 - Free Day—options are numerous:
visit one of the fascinating museums: day trip to France or Guernsey :or
simply enjoy the delights of shopping in St Helier– tax free shopping.
Day 6 – Mystery walk depending on the group!!!!
Day 7- White Rock Off Rozel—Jersey Zoo– Bonne Nuit
We begin on the north coast and hopefully see spectacular views of the coast
of France and the isles of the Ecrehos after a short while we go inland and
head towards the world famous Jersey Zoological Centre founded by the famous
Gerald Durrell. We spend time in the Zoo and lunch there. Later we make our
way back to the cliff path and via Bouley Bay onto Bonne Nuit Bay.
Day 8—Depart for Home

is intermediate difficulty.

(If you decide to stay at the Harbour View in St Aubin there will be an additional £100 supplement for the weeks stay. This is because it is situated in the heart of St Aubin among many lovely restaurants and therefore more expensive. If you like gourmet food then this is the place to stay!

Travel to resort
Transfer from airport - transfers from Jersey Airport to the hotel take 30

The 'with flight' prices are with FlyBe from Gatwick to Jersey - late
morning or afternoon flights. We can also book flights from Belfast,
Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Liverpool, Luton,
Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, Doncaster Norwich, Southampton and
Southend - please contact us to discuss the most convenient options.
Land only Price
Transfer from Jersey Airport:
Our Airport Transfer service operates at this resort, offering quick and
easy transfers for guests booking their own flights. All prices are per
person for single journeys. These can be arranged to meet any flight to or
from the island. Transfers must be pre-booked no later than 5 weeks before
departure - we will then confirm all the details approximately 3 weeks
before your holiday.
From Jersey Airport
• by Transfer Shuttle £6 single
• By Taxi (no need to book you can get one outside the Airport) £12 to
Samares Hotel or Marina Hotel £9 ( guide price)
By Ferry:
High-speed ferries operate from Poole (3hrs 45) and Weymouth (3hrs 15) to
Jersey. See www.condorferries.com for further information. Upon arrival at
St Helier harbour it is a 3 mile taxi journey to the hotel (cost approx
£6.00)
